An up-to-date and comprehensive database of
programs and services geared towards helping users find employment,
the IPS is a wealth of information at your fingertips; literally just
a couple of clicks away. With a variety of search options, the IPS
strives to ensure that the results it provides are specific to your
profile and meet your distinctive needs.
The Search Process
By giving you the opportunity to choose how you search, the IPS tailors
its results to your needs.
By selecting the Programs and Services option on the main toolbar
you will be able to begin your search.
Selecting a Region
Begin your search by selecting a region from the interactive Ontario
map or by entering your postal code.
Narrowing the Search
The IPS database features extensive search capabilities via keywords
or specific queries, such as search by employment situation (e.g.
EI recipient), client type (e.g. student), or community. The IPS also
allows user to search by specific services to narrow their search
criteria.
Results
Once you have entered your search criteria and clicked the search
button, the IPS will scan its database of programs and services. All
results will be listed in alphabetical order by program or service
name. To view the details of the programs/services in the results
section, just click the program/service of interest and detailed information
including program description, eligibility criteria, and contact information
will be listed.
