description |
Niijkiwendidaa Anishnaabekwewag Services Circle is a community-based agency that provides counselling services and traditional healing programs. Services and healing programs offer clients a wide variety of healing opportunities including: one-to-one counselling, healing circles, sharing circles, consultation with Elders and traditional healers, art therapy, holistic healing and Native language classes. Activities include weekly grannies lunch, cultural teachings, women and wellness group, drum groups, employment specific programs related economic independence and community safety. Other services include transitional and housing support, access to food share program, Our Children Our Gifts Program, and Aboriginal Healthy Babies and Healthy Children Program. Guest speakers are available to facilitate workshops and share teachings on a variety of issues related to Aboriginal health and healing, issues of abuse, multi generational trauma, cultural sensitivity, and Aboriginal awareness. |
